Let’s Go Fly a Kite

The warmer weather has me in the spring mood and I just can’t help but get the song “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” in my head. This kite picture I used from one of the Stampington magazines and the weather inspired this spring kite collage the other night.

Spring has got to be my favorite season. I grew up in Wisconsin, which had long, long winters. I was so excited every year to see those shoots coming out of the ground and the buds on branches. I would actually walk the yard and check on their progress just about every day. This little bit of nothing growing into a beautiful plant just fascinates me, especially when the plants die back completely in winter. To see them growing fills me with hope and joy. Things may seem dark and difficult, but there will come a day when you’re able to stand in the sunshine and bloom again.
