Robellini Palm Decor
I love doing projects. If I’m not in the middle of a project, I feel a bit lost, like I don’t know what to do with myself. Even though my job is now a very creative one (@handmadebft), I still crave creativity outside of the work day, in my home, in my garden, in my life. My business account shows the projects I do for my business, but there are so many other projects I work on, many of them unique, that I thought I’d open a place to share those, HandMade Beaufort at home.
This here is a little project I did the other day. I had drawn this robellini palm frond on my iPad last year and I’ve always loved how it turned out. I also wanted some new decor in my living room after taking down the Christmas decorations. So I printed this drawing on a dud tea towel and used this wonderful wood I got from a friend who had just been doing some demo (thanks Jessica & Kyle of @shoptabbyshore !) to make the frame. I’m fairly pleased with how it turned out. I love the look of the print with this reclaimed wood. I only wish I had made the frame a bit bigger so there was more white space on the picture. But overall, I’m happy with it and looking at it makes me think of the wonderful people in my life who shared the wood with me.
